According to the LPSDC By-laws, the Junior Members of our club are to elect a Junior Representative each year, to "be the voice of the junior general membership". In the past few years, we have not had such a position, but in 2012, we hope to bring this back. Sara Madison has agreed to run for this position, and will be listed on our ballot for the December Election.

We also welcome all Junior members who might be interested. Sara has been a LPSDC member off and on for the past several years. She has also been a member and leader of a Kitsap 4H Group.

She loves dressage, jumping, and hopes to add eventing to her repertoire next season. Sara is a Sophomore at Peninsula High School, where she is involved in Debate, Drama and Knowledge Bowl.

Sara's goals for the upcoming year will include growing our Junior membership through outreach to 4H and Pony Club members, developing a Junior Member Facebook Page, providing free or low cost educational opportunities to our Junior members, having "fun days" together with their horses, such as trail rides, game days and other "get togethers".
