Scribe & Scoring Clinic was held on November 7, 2009 from 1-5 p.m. This clinic was held at the
beautiful home of Meghan & Greg Markham, were we all stayed warm and dry on a wet Saturday
afternoon. The club supplied beverages, croissant sandwiches, and cheese & crackers!  The turnout was
great, people came from as far as Issaquah & Yelm to attend our clubs first Scribing & Scoring clinic.
Some of those who attended had some scribing experience and others had little or no experience. Robin
Cummins taught a very informative class and everyone left with a good understanding about what it takes
to be a scribe at both schooling & recognized show levels.  At the end of the lecture there was a video
scribing session, which added a real-time scribing experience.  At first some struggled, but by the time
they finished training level and began first level, everyone felt as though they were ready to scribe at their
first schooling show.  During the last hour of the clinic, Robin with the help of Karen Fisher worked with
those who were interested in actually scoring the tests they had just scribed.  All the ladies went home
with scribing and scoring certificates of completion from LPSDC.
For those who couldn't make it...There will be another Scribing & Scoring Clinic offered in April
2010! So, keep a look out for more information!!!!!!!

Class details:
I am going to limit these classes to 4 riders/horses.
There will be several riding patterns, including cavallettis
and cones.  Centered Riding exercises (mounted) will be
incorporated into these classes.  Riders will have the
opportunity (only if you want to) to switch horses
several times during the class.
Purpose:
To allow riders to achieve "connection" with their horses
in a different setting.  As most of you know, most of the
lessons I teach are private.  So, providing these classes
will give riders an opportunity to do things a little
different and increase awareness in other areas.  Riding
in a group setting is really fun and brings new
challenges.
Please note:
No one is required to switch horses.  It is just a fun
experience for some people to apply what they are learning
on different horses.  Please let me know if you do not want
to switch horses.  This just helps me plan to make sure
the class runs smoothly.
